Choose the highest level references who will provide an enthusiastic endorsement and can effectively communicate your background and achievements. They must have no hesitation in making strong, positive statements about you - even if you have never worked for them.
Make sure that you prepare your references carefully by providing a summary of points they can address to reinforce your candidacy. Provide a copy of your resume and prepare a list of questions that may be asked with suggested responses about your qualifications.
